Koi

Koi emerges from the tropical garden culture of Coconut Grove and South Miami, where ornamental ponds, vivid color, and living water form part of the local visual memory. Drawing on the movement of fish, the shimmer of reflection, and the graphic energy of bubbles and circular forms,

the series shifts from observation toward abstraction. These works are less about motif than about rhythm, chromatic intensity, and the transformation of tropical life into a contemporary visual language shaped by Miami
